With 5 years of experience in full-stack development, Maik specializes in Java and the Spring Framework, with additional expertise in TypeScript, Python, and frontend development using Next.js. With a strong focus on backend development, he excels at designing scalable, maintainable solutions. Recently, Maik contributed to and successfully deployed a global-scale workshop order management system for a major automotive company. This project utilized AWS Cloud, REST APIs, messaging systems, Docker, and AWS ECS. He is passionate about true Agile methodologies, emphasizing adaptability, collaboration, and delivering value. Over the past year, Maik has been deeply involved in automating tasks, improving release and deployment processes, and enhancing delivery reliability for his team. He has leveraged tools like GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, and AWS CodeBuild for automation, and he is well-versed in provisioning cloud infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK. Known for his ability to dive deep into challenges, Maik addresses core issues holistically rather than relying on temporary fixes. A continuous learner, he explores new technologies and concepts daily, including embracing Rust for future projects. His long-term goal is to further develop his expertise in software architecture and design. Outside of work, Maik enjoys playing TTRPGs like Dungeons & Dragons, cooking, hiking, and swimming.
